    One dead after motorcycle collides with SUV in Bismarck

    BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A 21-year-old man is dead after a crash occurred between his motorcycle and an SUV on the evening of Saturday, August 17, in North Bismarck.

    According to the Bismarck Police Department, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the man was traveling in the 3000 block of North 4th Street behind an SUV when the larger vehicle made a left turn into a parking lot for an apartment building in the area.

    A witness to the crash told officers that the driver of the motorcycle seemed to be attempting to pass the SUV when it struck the driver’s side of the vehicle.

    The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on-scene. The driver of the SUV (an 83-year-old Bismarck man) and his passenger were uninjured.

    The crash currently remains under investigation.
