NEW TOWN, ND ( KXNET ) — The USMC Silent Drill Platoon, U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, and the USMC Color Guard are performing at an area casino.

The United States Marine Corps groups are having two free shows at 4 Bears Casino on Monday, August 26 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The USMC Silent Drill Platoon is a 24-person assembly that performs drill movements and precise handling of hand-polished, 10+ pound M1 rifles with fixed bayonets. The routine ends with a rifle inspection sequence that demonstrates elaborate spins and tosses.

The U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps is known as “The Commandant’s Own”, and thrills audiences with music and drill ceremonies. It’s the only drum and bugle corps in the armed services.

The Official Color Guard of the Marine Corps will be presenting the flag and Marine Corps Battle Color.

In 2022, the performance was at capacity, so this year, they added a second show. However, people are encouraged to arrive early to make sure they have a spot.
