FARGO, ND ( KXNET ) — Agriculture and farming are key components of our state’s economy, and the Next 5 Years Conference will give experts a chance to discuss the future of those industries.

The Northern Crops Institute features North Dakota and its three neighbors — Montana, South Dakota, and Minnesota — coming together to support the growth of crops and the economy around farming.

The event, which will be hosted by the Institute, is focused on the changes coming to the agriculture industry in North Dakota over the next five years.

The event will feature four keynote speakers, along with a panel of farmers. There will be discussions on how changes to the industry will impact consumers in the state as well as the region’s economy.

The event will take place on September 5th at Fargo’s Sanctuary Events Center. It is an executive conference, so registration for individuals costs $250. The conference will start at 8:30 a.m. and will go until 5:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
