The 18-year-old became distracted while driving, took his attention away from the road, and rear-ended the 51-year-old.

The crash caused the motorcycle driver to separate from the bike and go over the top of the Hyundai, and land in the grass ditch. The man was not wearing a helmet.

The 51-year-old was brought to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for serious, non-life-threatening injuries while the 18-year-old was not injured.

    NDHP is investigating the crash.
