Pickup crashes into Williston apartment garage units, damaging five

WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — Five Williston apartment garage units were damaged Thursday night when a pick-up truck crashed into the units.

According to the Williston Fire Department, the crash happened around 7:30 p.m., August 22, in the 2900 block of 20th Street West.

When crews arrived, they found that two occupants of the truck had managed to escape out of the vehicle and mangled garage units following the crash.

No one was in the garage units at the time of the incident. One parked vehicle in a garage was damaged.

Fire crews discovered there was damage to load-bearing walls and they shored up the damaged areas to stabilize the structure until repairs can be made.
