MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — Minot State University will host Business After Hours at its newly renovated Hartnett Hall, right after they have the grand opening for the building.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Hartnett Hall will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, and will immediately be followed by Business After Hours, which will go on until 7 p.m. that same day.

Business After Hours gives people an opportunity to network with members of the Minot Area Chamber Economic Development Corporation (EDC), a nonprofit that promotes business and leadership in the area.

This is the first semester that Hartnett will be fully utilized since the $26.6 million renovation project began in May 2022.

The hall is home to the English, humanities, communication, art, and theater arts programs. It also features Aleshire Theater, which is a new performing arts recital hall, as well as the KMSU radio station and television studio, and MSU’s Esports studio.

Tours of the building will be available throughout the event, as will food and prizes. It is open to the public for $5 at the door.
