MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — On Monday, the Minot Police Department’s SWAT Team completed their annual fitness testing.

According to Police 1, officers prepare for the fitness test through certain exercises like the bent-knee sit-up, sit and reach, push-ups, a maximum bench press of 215 pounds, pull-ups, standing long jumps, squat thrusts, and the 12-minute, roughly two-mile run.

The Minot Police Department said they had four dedicated department members showcase their skills during the tests with the hope that they’ll join the SWAT team when a position opens up.
