DICKINSON, N.D. — College football returns this week with games across the country and in the Peace Garden State. One team taking the field this week is the Dickinson State Blue Hawks, who will play in front of their home crowd quite often this season.

After playing 8 games on the road a year ago, the Blue Hawks will host 6 games, including 4 of their first 5 matchups, on the Fisher Field turf at the Hank Biesiot Activities Center this season. This Dickinson State squad is ready to show out in front of their fans.

“It’s really nice to be able to have that schedule this year,” head coach Pete Stanton says. “Last year, we maybe set a national record at eight games on the road last year. We only had four home games last year. We have four out of our first five at home and we have some really good opponents coming in. That’s going to be a be a lot of fun for our fans and I know our players are really excited about playing more home games this year.”

“It’ll be awesome playing in Dickinson,” quarterback Will Madler adds. “The support is amazing. I think we’re going to probably set an attendance record again this year with people coming out and it’ll be awesome playing in the Hank, playing in front of everybody.”

The Blue Hawks open their season against the the Battlin’ Bears of Rocky Mountain College on Thursday.
