NORTH DAKOTA ( KXNET ) — Despite the prices of groceries decreasing, they are still a top concern for those grilling during Labor Day.

As a result of these price hikes, people are looking more towards chicken rather than beef.

Savings.com released a new study that found that more than one in three people are very concerned about their ability to afford enough food when shopping.

To help save money, people are buying less candy, beef cuts, pop, chips, and alcohol, and more beans, lentils, canned goods, oatmeal, chicken, and pasta.
