    Corbin Lampert gets life sentence for murder of Taryn Hohbein

    BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — The man convicted for the shooting of 16-year-old Taryn Hobhbein has been sentenced.

    Corbin Lampert , who was 19 at the time, received a life sentence without parole.

    In April 2024, the jury trial found Lampert guilty of two felonies — Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

    In June of 2023, Hohbein was found with gunshot wounds in an apartment in Bismarck, she was brought to the hospital and pronounced dead.

    Investigators found 9mm shells in the apartment and spoke to witnesses who said Lampert had shot Hohbein before fleeing.
