FURRY FRIDAY: Meet Daisy the dog

BISMARCK, N.D. ( KXNET ) — Tracy Kershaw was kind enough to share the story of her new furry friend, Daisy, and tell everyone about a fun event happening next weekend.

Daisy came into the care of Furry Friend Rockin’ Rescue after she was hit by a car. The good folks at the shelter got her the urgent vet care she needed, and is now in a doggie walking cast. Like a lot of animals in the shelter, she’s in need of a loving home.

But that’s not all Ms. Kershaw also talked about an event coming up soon.

The Roughrider Poker Tour will be at Dj’s Tavern in Lincoln on September 8th. The event begins around noon and will be played in 30-minute levels. Proceeds will benefit Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue, but everyone is sure to have a good time.

And one person who makes sure the animals have a good time is Bonnie Lahr. She’s the Rescue’s adoption/foster coordinator, the one making sure people find the furry friend right for them.
