BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — Tuesday, September 3rd was the last day for candidates to send in their paperwork to show up on the November ballot.

The North Dakota Secretary of State’s office says on the same morning, the state’s Dem-NPL party submitted the paperwork needed to put Kamala Harris on the ballot. Voters will see her name, along with three electors, on the ballot this November. North Dakota Democrats tell us those electors are Jane Sinner, Carol Davis, and Byron Knutson.

For Republicans, the three electors are Kim Koppelman, Rick Becker, and Jeff Magrum. Last week, their GOP sent in the necessary forms for Donald Trump, who was endorsed at the RNC last month in Milwaukee.

“Really,” notes Secretary of State Michael Howe, “nothing changed. President Biden hadn’t submitted his paperwork when he dropped out in the middle of July. Vice President Harris submitted her presidential paperwork just this morning, and that was approved, so the Democrat nominee is on the ballot.”

Howe says that libertarian presidential candidate Chase Oliver is the only third-party candidate who’s sent in the necessary documents to be on North Dakota’s ballot.
