BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — Two people are in jail after police say they were selling drugs out of a Bismarck hotel room.

On August 28th, police got a search warrant after they’d been told that a couple had been selling pills out of a room from a hotel along South 3rd Street. Upon arrival, they arrested William Beverly and his girlfriend Jennifer Bowen-Davis.

During a search, Investigators looked in the room’s safe, where they found 2,680 fentanyl pills. Police say Beverly admitted to smoking the pills even though a one-year-old child was also in the room. Beverly told police he bought the pills from an apartment complex in Mandan.

Officers say when questioned, Beverly said he knew he was going to jail. He’s charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver over 40 grams of fentanyl. Bowen-Davis was also arrested and charged with Child Endangerment, and has a bond reduction hearing set for Thursday afternoon.

Both individuals are scheduled to be tried on December 18th and 19th in Burleigh County.
