BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A woman is now facing jail time after police say she attacked her boyfriend and child on the weekend of September 1st.

Police in Bismarck say that on the morning of Saturday, August 31, a boy told officers that Karina Sayler, had grabbed him by the throat, pinned him against a wall, and grabbed him as he was trying to get away. He also said Sayler struck her boyfriend several times.

Two arrested after Bismarck hotel room drug bust

The man in question stated that Sayler had been drinking wine, and thrown up at one point. He says she then hit him around 20 times, which may have caused him to black out. Officers say they could see visible marks on both people. They then spoke to Sayler, who they say appeared intoxicated, and saw her try to breastfeed a two-week-old baby.

Sayler was arrested and is being charged with three felony counts, including Child Abuse, Child Neglect, and Domestic Violence. She was appointed an attorney in court this week, and her trial is currently scheduled for December 17th.
