GRANO, ND ( KXNET ) — A woman has been killed, and a man was severely injured and facing charges after a motorcycle crash Saturday, September 7, roughly two miles east of Grano.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 3:34 p.m., a motorcycle carrying two individuals was traveling eastbound on County Road 26 when it failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road.

The driver of the vehicle, a 66-year-old man from Minot, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to Trinity Hospital for treatment. He is being charged with Driving Under the Influence, and reportedly did not possess a motorcycle endorsement.

The passenger, a 52-year-old woman from Minot, was pronounced dead on scene.

The crash currently remains under investigation.
