MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — Winter will be here before you know it, which is why now is a good time to start preparing for the freezing temperatures.

The Minot Board of Realtors is hosting a winter gear drive. They’re collecting beanies, jackets, gloves, scarves, and boots for Minot Public School students.

School counselors will work together to distribute the winter gear to students in need. They don’t have a certain amount of clothing they’re hoping to collect, but they’ll take as much as they’re given.

“Our goal is to get more winter gear for those students in need of all sizes,” says the Minot Board of Realtors’ Public Relations Chair Erica Alstad, “and very gently used or new would be fantastic as well.”

The drive is happening now until September 19th, but donations are always welcome. Offerings can be dropped off at John Hoeven Elementary or any participating realty or broker office.
