BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — Halloween is just over a month away, and spooky season is in the air. That’s why in today’s Destination Dakota, we’re taking you on a tour of frightful sites in Downtown Bismarck.

Stacy Sturm, the owner of URL Radio in Bismarck, hosts these Haunted History Tours, which showcase some of the capital city’s most frightening locations.

“It’s about an hour long,” she explains, “and it’s very informal. We just walk around downtown, and talk about historical buildings, historical sites, and some paranormal investigations I’ve done.”

Tours are held most Fridays in September through October at 7:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. There are group tours available on off days, weather permitting, but these must have at least 12 people to occur. The cost to tour is $15 per person.

In Wednesday’s Destination Dakota, KX News’ Taylor Aasen joined Stacy Sturm on a haunted tour. Sturm showed KX popular historical destinations downtown that have a dark history — and at the end of the tour, she showcased the underground tunnels that run beneath the city.
