WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — A Williston man is being charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after police allegedly found devices for smoking methamphetamine and grinding marijuana in his car.

According to an affidavit from the Williston Police Department, at around 2:07 p.m. on September 6, an officer was on patrol in Williston when he saw a car with no visible license plates and a shattered windshield quickly accelerate, causing the tires to squeal. The officer promptly stopped the car and checked the driver’s license, noticing that it was suspended.

He then arrested the driver and asked him if he had any illegal items in the car. After the suspect responded by questioning this decision, officers searched the car and found a grinding device containing residue suspected to be from marijuana, as well as a glass smoking device containing residue suspected to be from methamphetamine.
