BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — On Wednesday, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum gave his two cents as to how former President Donald Trump performed in this week’s presidential debate.

Burgum spoke to CBS Mornings where he credited the former president for pointing to his own experience in office, growing the economy, and efforts to stop illegal immigration.

Burgum says under former President Trump, most Americans felt safer and enjoyed a better quality of life, compared to the last three years of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in office, which he says have meant high inflation.

“The one thing we didn’t hear from her was her thanking President Trump for knocking out Joe Biden. She wouldn’t even be in this position if he hadn’t had such a great debate performance earlier this summer,” Gov. Burgum said.

After the debate, Harris said she’s ready for a second debate, while former President Trump and his campaign have not committed to another debate yet.

I used to admire Gov B so much as a middle of the road person who was fair and bipartisan...until he became entangled with Donald Trump
