WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — The City of Williston has scheduled the fall Clean Williston event.

It’s happening from 8 a.m. to noon on September 28 at the Williston Public Works. However, if the weather is unfavorable, it will be rescheduled for October 5.

The event’s tradition is to beautify the city and happens every spring and fall.

Those who are interested in participating can register online for one of the 40 zones.

Volunteers should meet in the south lot of the Public Works at 8 a.m., if you did not register for a zone, you can still participate and will be assigned a zone. Volunteers will get a free T-shirt and a light breakfast.

Public Works will be providing safety vests, gloves, and garbage bags.

Garbage bags that get filled should be left on the side of the road in each zone for pick up, or people can bring the bags to Public Works for disposal.
