MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — A staple in the Minot community is getting ready to welcome Minot visitors back as they prepare to open.

Berry Acres Pumpkin Patch in Minot will be offering a lot for people to enjoy.

You can buy around 65 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds.

Kids can even run through the obstacle course, go zip lining, ride the kid train, go on a hay ride, and use pumpkin cannons.

On the weekends the petting zoo is available but there is so much to do when here.

“My favorite part is just having the kids, family, the outdoor activities. I’ve always really enjoyed the outdoors. Just being able to have everyone else come out and have some kid activities,” said Calvin Berry, the owner of Berry Acres Pumpkin Patch.

Fairly new to the patch is the paintball building.

Trolls is the theme for the pumpkin patch this year and Berry’s kids helped choose it. The hay bales have characters from the movie spray painted on by his wife.

It takes her between four to six hours to complete, depending on what she’s painting and she’s completed 20 so far.

“It really takes a full year as far as planning and everything. But once we start picking and putting everything up it takes a good month month and a half,” said Berry.

Their hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekends and 12-7 p.m. on the weekdays. Admission is $8 but kids under three get in for free.
