    ND DOCR announces recipients of grant for services for crime victims

    NORTH DAKOTA ( KXNET ) — The North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (ND DOCR) has announced the 37 agencies that will receive the 2025 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant.

    This grant is meant to provide funding to local organizations that offer services to victims of crime. These include crisis intervention, forensic exams, safe shelters, and personal advocacy.

    In 2023, a total of 17,444 North Dakotans received services with the VOCA grant funding.

    This year, $3.5 million in total will be awarded to 37 organizations. These agencies include:

    • Abused Adult Resource Center, Bismarck, ND
    • Family Crisis Center, Bottineau, ND
    • Burleigh County Victim Assistance Program, Bismarck, ND
    • CAWS North Dakota, Bismarck, ND
    • Central Dakota Forensic Nurse Examiners, Bismarck, ND
    • Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center, Bismarck, ND
    • Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Minot, ND
    • Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center, Dickinson, ND
    • Family Crisis Center, Bottineau, ND
    • Family Crisis Shelter, Williston, ND
    • Legal Services of North Dakota, Bismarck, ND
    • McHenry County Victim Assistance Program, Towner, ND
    • McLean Family Resource Center, Washburn, ND
    • North Dakota Highway Patrol, Bismarck, ND
    • Northern Plains Children’s Advocacy Center, Minot, ND
    • Safe Alternatives for Abused Families, Devils Lake, ND
    • Safe Shelter, Jamestown, ND
    • Stark County Victim Assistance Program, Dickinson, ND
    • Stutsman County Victim Assistance Program, Jamestown, ND
    • The Difference – A Holistic Approach, Minot, ND
    • Towner County Victim Assistance Program, Cando, ND
    • Williams County Victim Assistance Program, Williston, ND
    • Women’s Action and Resource Center, Beulah, ND
    • Youthworks, Bismarck, ND
