Williams County residents beware of phone scam in the area

WILLIAMS COUNTY, ND ( KXNET ) — Several reports have been made to the Williams County Sheriff’s Office about people receiving phone call scams.

The person making these calls is falsely representing the judicial system and is demanding a payment to be made over the phone.

Some of the calls have been related to missing jury duty, however, the person receiving the call had not been assigned to jury duty.

If you receive a suspicious call that requires personal or payment information, you are asked to call the Williams County Dispatch Center at (701) 713-3355.
