    U.S. Border Patrol safely locates injured person canoeing on Sawbill Lake

    SAWBILL LAKE, MN ( KXNET ) — The U.S. Border Patrol Grand Forks Sector was able to successfully rescue a person who suffered an injury while canoeing.

    On Thursday, U.S. Border Patrol was notified that a person had injured his leg while canoeing, leaving the person stranded on Sawbill Lake in Minnesota.

    Responding without delay, agents from the Grand Forks Sector located and rescued the person, transporting them to a nearby hospital.

    Border patrol says, “The swift actions of our agents, alongside local law enforcement, was pivotal to the rescue.”
