    NDSU to offer Suicide Prevention Training session in Minot

    MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — North Dakota State University will offer a Suicide Prevention Training session next month in the Minot area for those looking to learn skills that could help them save someone’s life.

    They will be teaching the QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) method to anyone who wants to attend. You will learn how to question someone about how they’re feeling, persuade them to seek help and refer them to appropriate resources.

    988 encourages mental health support in the workplace

    No prior experience is needed, and the training is free of charge. It will be Oct. 9 at 5:00 p.m. at the North Central Extension Research Station one mile south of Minot.
