    Williston woman arrested after assaulting ex-boyfriend

    WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — A Williston woman is facing charges after assaulting her ex-boyfriend on the afternoon of Sunday, September 15th.

    According to the Williston Police Department, at approximately 4:04 p.m., officers were dispatched after receiving reports of a domestic altercation at a home. Upon arriving on the scene, the victim reported that he was in a dating relationship with the perpetrator.

    After multiple verbal disputes, the man decided to end their relationship before telling the woman, taking her keys to the apartment, and instructing her to leave. This event led to the woman attacking her boyfriend when he went to remove her items from the bedroom.

    The victim stated that he was bit on the arm and struck on the back of the head, before explaining that he left the home to seek assistance from his family. He also confirmed that the woman remained at the pair’s shared Williston residence.

    Upon traveling to the home, officers encountered the suspect in the residence’s parking lot. Here, she was informed of the investigation, and confessed that she was involved in a physical altercation with the victim.

    The woman was promptly taken into custody, and transported to the Williams County Corrections Center. She is currently being charged with Domestic Violence – Bodily Injury, a Class B Misdemeanor.
