Man in Williston arrested for terrorizing

WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — A man in Williston was arrested on Tuesday for terrorizing family members.

According to an affidavit, Williston police officers got the report just after 5 p.m. on October 1.

Through translation, officers were able to learn that 33-year-old Ugur Bal allegedly threatened his sister, brother-in-law, and other family members because of a money issue.

The victims stated that Bal had texted them with threats of physical violence, as well as a photo of a Browning .22LR pistol.

Officers were able to confirm that the victims were fearful for their lives and safety.

Bal was then placed under arrest and was brought to the Williams County Correctional Center.
