MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — The Minot Police Department has released the results of its alcohol compliance checks from September 30, finding that three businesses were in violation of serving alcohol to a minor.

The MPD conducted these checks at 14 businesses and found that three of them — Buffalo Wings & Rings, JL Beers, and Trappers Lounge at Dakota Inn — served alcohol to a minor.

The servers at each were identified, and cases were sent to the Ward County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. The businesses are also subject to potential administrative penalties.

More than 6,700 citations issued during Speeding Slows You Down campaign

The MPD also conducted distracted driving enforcement on the same day.

Officers issued 21 offenses for distracted driving, and one each for suspended/revoked license, warrant served/fugitive apprehension, and uninsured motorist.

These enforcement efforts are part of the MPD’s strategy to improve community safety. The department has partnered with the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) to reduce risk for North Dakota drivers.
