WILLISTON, ND ( KXNET ) — A Williston woman with an outstanding arrest warrant is being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a vehicle search.

According to the Williston Police Department, an officer was on patrol when he was informed about a woman named Bambi Michelle Muessman — who had one or more outstanding arrest warrants — driving in the area.

The officer observed the car fail to utilize its turn signal 100 feet before a turn, and pulled the driver over. The officer then observed the passenger cover her face as he approached the car, and subsequently identified her as Bambi Michelle Muessman. She was then placed under arrest for her outstanding warrant.

The driver of the car told the officer that she had recently bought the car from Muessman and didn’t have the title yet, and gave the officer permission to search it. The officer found a first-aid-style bag containing a tray with suspected methamphetamine residue, as well as a purse belonging to Muessman that allegedly contained the same substance.

Muessman has a prior conviction for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and is facing that charge again, which is a Class C Felony.
