    West Fargo man sustains life-threatening injuries in DUI crash

    SKYESTON, ND ( KXNET ) — A 36-year-old man from West Fargo sustained life-threatening injuries after rear-ending a semi-truck on Highway 200 while driving under the influence.

    According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), on October 13 at 7:36 p.m., a Kenworth semi-truck hauling a grain trailer was traveling west on Hwy 200 about 1.5 miles west of Skyeston.

    The driver of the semi-truck, a 45-year-old man from Cathay, slowed down to turn right into a farmyard, when a 2019 Ford F-150, whose driver didn’t notice the truck was slowing, rear-ended the semi.

    The F-150 came to a stop in the westbound lane of Hwy 200, and the semi-truck came to rest in the driveway of the farm.

    One injured, one missing in two Dickinson pursuits

    The driver of the F-150 sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Carrington Hospital, where he was stabilized before being life-flighted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

    The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

    The driver of the Ford F-150 has been charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and
    Driving Under Suspension.

    This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
