KILLDEER, ND ( KXNET ) — A Dunn County man has been arrested for threatening a subcontractor at Killdeer High School on Tuesday morning.

According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page , a report was called in around 6:45 a.m. saying that a person showed up to the Killdeer High School and threatened a subcontractor with a firearm.

When deputies arrived, they found the suspect, a 61-year-old Dunn County man. After a short pursuit, he was brought into custody and taken to the Southwest Multi-County Correctional Center. Two handguns were seized as evidence.

The suspect is allegedly being charged with terrorizing, criminal trespass, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, providing false information to law enforcement, and impersonating a law enforcement officer.

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office wants to inform the public that there is no threat to Killdeer schools. However, as a precautionary measure, there will be a law enforcement presence for the remainder of the day and throughout the week.

Why is it that they don't give the name of the man? He's not a minor. Could it be that he is a local with a lot of influence in the area? It's definitely suspicious.
