MINOT, ND ( KXNET )— The Pride of Dakota Showcase will be heading back to Minot on Friday and Saturday, October 25-26.

The Pride of Dakota program allows North Dakota-owned small businesses to help spread their brand by taking part in unique marketing and promotional events — including special showcases and in-store demonstrations — while supporting their owners through educational opportunities and representation at large-scale marketing expos. Currently over 500 North Dakota small businesses are members of the group.

“This year’s Pride of Dakota Showcase features more than 80 companies offering unique, North Dakota-made products,” Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said. “Shoppers will find thousands of products to choose from, including gourmet food, wine and spirits, books, jewelry, apparel, personal care, pottery, quilting, photography and framed art, children’s items, and more.”

Retail stores are also invited to host a booth at the event.

“This is a great opportunity to purchase a few items to try in your store before establishing a wholesale order,” Goehring continues. “Plus, retailers can support a fellow North Dakota small business in the process. It’s a chance to begin a working relationship that could be beneficial for many companies and local retail stores.”

The showcase will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Admission, shopping bags, and parking are free.

A complete list of companies participating in the October showcase can be found here .

Future Holiday Showcases are scheduled for November 1-2 at the Scheels Arena in Fargo, November 22-23 at the Grand Forks Alerus Center, and December 6-7 at the Bismarck Event Center.
