NORTH DAKOTA ( KXNET ) — Thanks to social media, the carnivore diet is becoming one of the most talked-about eating plans.

Influencers are showcasing their transformations through an all-animal-based diet.

The benefits claimed include weight loss, reduced inflammation, and improved mental clarity.

People are questioning conventional dietary norms, and the carnivore diet is catching the eyes of those who want a simplified and radical approach to their health.

Scientist, inventor, and author Dr. John Jaquish has been a long-time practitioner of this diet and has experienced health benefits — including increased strength, lean muscle mass, and no vitamin deficiencies. And he shared his top tips for following a carnivore diet.

Intermittent Fasting provides health and fitness benefits

He says to prioritize high-quality animal products like grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish, and organic eggs. This means that you’re getting the best nutrients without any of the harmful additives.

The second thing people should do is embrace nose-to-tail eating. This means in order to get the full range of nutrients, you need to eat the whole animal — including organ meats like liver and heart. He says they are full of vitamins and minerals.

People should also be drinking lots of water and salt their food. Meat-based diets can cause a loss of electrolytes, so using salt and drinking water can keep the balance.

The fourth thing is to not fear fats. Healthy animal fats — like butter, ghee, and tallow — are part of the carnivore diet.

Dr. Jaquish’s final tip is to be prepared for the transition. It’ll take some time for the body to adjust, so there will be a period of adaptation, but after that, you’ll start to feel clearer, stronger, and healthier.
