WATFORD CITY, N.D. ( KXNET ) — A GoFundMe has been established to help Badlands Search & Rescue help others in Montana and North Dakota.

In the fundraiser, the organization states that they are currently struggling due to an extremely busy 2023. During their multiple trips to Montana, central ND, and Bismarck, their funds have been depleted due to the need to provide fuel, supplies, and food for team members while also maintaining their normal insurance and training payments.

GoFundMe started for Tioga man who died in wildfires trying to save his horses

According to the GoFundMe, all money donated to the group will go towards covering their 2024 insurance costs, conducting repairs, and unfitting multiple pieces of equipment (including boating, search, and recovery gear as well as work on the command trailer). The organization is also reportedly working on a project to increase their response time, and extra funds will help them better prepare for and answer any calls for help that happen to arise.
