DICKINSON, ND (KXNET) — With the start of hunting season, Dickinson Police are taking the opportunity to remind people they are still looking for resident Keith Schmidt, missing since May 29.

“Investigators have invested significant time reviewing leads and surveillance recordings. However, no leads have uncovered further information,” police officials have posted to their Facebook page . “We are asking the public to contact us if they believe they have any information that may assist us in locating Keith.”

The 53-year-old Schmidt weighs 140 pounds, is about 5’9″, and wears glasses. He has gray or partially gray shoulder-length hair as well as a mustache and beard.

He was last seen in Dickinson May 29, leaving his residence on foot. However, he never returned.

Dickinson Police say his house and family farm were searched, but nothing was found that would lead them to suspect foul play or give them any idea into where he could be.

The neighborhood where he lives and the surrounding area have been canvassed to find any available video surveillance from residents.

Businesses where Schmidt went to often were also investigated, but provided no positive results, either.

Potential social media leads have also been evaluated and followed, but those didn’t lead to any breakthroughs either.

Officers have been working closely with the Schmidt family and statewide law enforcement resources.

Police figure with hunting season starting, an increase in the number of people outdoors may help improve the chances of finding clues to Schmidt’s whereabouts.

Anyone who has information on Keith Schmidt is encouraged to contact the Dickinson Police Department at 701-456-7759, or leaving a Silent Hotline tip at www.dickinsonpd.com/crimestoppers .
