WCSO said the 18-year-old driver of the vehicle denied consent for a search, so a K-9 unit was called to the scene.

According to officials, K-9 partner Kato arrived and performed a sniff around the vehicle, giving a positive alert.

“Based on the K-9’s alert, the deputy conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle,” WCSO said.

Inside the vehicle, law enforcement found approximately 124.1 pounds of marijuana and $2,071 in U.S. currency.

“This seizure is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking in the area,” WCSO said.

As of Friday, the investigation remained ongoing, according to officials.

We’ll weed it illegal in TX and 124 lbs is a big deal because that’s not personal uses. That selling which funds all sorts of other crimes. Even in states where it’s legal that’s a big bust and illegal unless they have a grow license which I’m sure he doesn’t. Plus how many other crimes were committed to grow, packag it and get it on the road before it was confiscated. Think about it….

Well look here.. I find it quite awkward that in the last couple of months we’ve been cracking down on the illegals this administration let in with arms wide open and suddenly we have been cracking down on drugs this administration said come on in.
