When officers arrived on the scene, they attempted to de-escalate the situation and tried to get Miller to comply with officers’ commands for around 14 minutes, according to police. That included police telling him to put his firearm down.

Bodycam video shows where Miller raised his gun and pointed it at officers, and that is when officers discharged their department-approved firearms. Life-saving measures were then performed on Miller immediately after, according to police.

APD released one 911 audio file, one police radio traffic audio file, bodycam footage from Jauregui and patrol car dash camera from Browne, the release said Tuesday.

All of those materials are linked and available on APD’s YouTube .
