AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas is getting a new intercontinental route, with Cathay Pacific announcing it will fly nonstop between Dallas and Hong Kong beginning in April.

The Hong Kong-based airline will operate flights to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport four days a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The airline will utilize Airbus A350-1000 aircraft on the route. Flights are already on sale.

“Connecting the cultural and commercial opportunities between DFW and Hong Kong with a nonstop flight is crucial for these two globally influential regions,” Sean Donohue, CEO of DFW Airport, said in a press release. “We are excited to welcome Cathay Pacific as our newest international airline, with service that will grow DFW’s connectivity throughout Asia and beyond.”
