AUSTIN (KXAN) — In a ceremony Monday, Lisa Davis will be sworn in as Austin’s newest police chief.

The ceremony, which is expected to last an hour, will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Austin City Hall.

How Austin’s next police chief, Lisa Davis, could impact women in police

The City of Austin selected Davis in August after a months-long process.

Prior to her selection, Davis was the assistant chief of the Cincinnati Police Department. She and Jeffrey Norman, the Milwaukee Police Chief, were the top two finalists out of about 30 applicants.

Davis’ first official day on the job was in early September.

She looks like that cop in Austin that went on a power trip when I reported being sexually harrassed at a local austin park. She treated me like I was the harrasser. Terrified for what this will mean. Austin will not get better. Same tyrants just changed the gender.
