    APD investigating after man, woman found dead outside southeast Austin apartment complex

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is investigating a double homicide in southeast Austin Monday morning.

    One man and one woman, both in their early 20s, were found dead in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 1800 Burton Drive, which is between E. Oltorf Street and E. Riverside Drive, APD Public Information Officer Jose Mendez said at a press conference Monday.

    Police said it received an initial call about the incident around 7:30 a.m. Monday.

    APD said it is working on suspect information, and investigators have witness statements and surveillance video from the area. Police are also working to find out the relationship between the man and the woman.

    Investigators believe the incident happened “early Monday morning,” APD said.

    it's crazy I used to live on that street when I met my wife and it was mostly college students and no crime. what the hell happened
