AUSTIN (KXAN) — P. Terry’s Burger Stand, a family-owned burger chain based in Austin, is set to open its first location outside of Central Texas.

The new location will be in the Richmond area and will open on Oct. 16. This new establishment will feature a double drive-thru, as well as dine-in options and a patio.

“We’re beyond excited to bring P. Terry’s to Houston,” CEO Patrick Terry said in a release. “This city has a rich food culture, and we feel honored to be a part of it. Our goal has always been simple: serve fresh, quality food at an affordable price, with a focus on taking care of our community and our employees.”

According to P. Terry’s, they are all about keeping things simple and natural. Their menu skips preservatives, antibiotics and hormones, and they’re known for using Angus beef in their burgers, along with fries, house-made veggie patties and treats like oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and banana bread. They also serve up milkshakes and egg burgers.

The new Richmond location will be open at the following hours:

    • Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m. – 12 a.m.
    • Friday: 7 a.m. – 1 a.m.
    • Saturday: 8 a.m. – 1 a.m.
    • Sunday: 8 a.m. – 12 a.m.

Since its founding in 2005, P. Terry’s has expanded rapidly across Central Texas, now having more than 35 locations.

A year ago, P. Terry’s also opened a new location in Bastrop. For more information, you can find it here .
