Minimum wage for Oklahoma definitely needs to increase, I don't know about double. We need to at least stay competitive with Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, and Kansas. My daughter was working at a store in Oklahoma for $8 and could go just across the state line for $12 for the SAME company, 4 miles apart, so, of course she switched jobs.

This new wage, though it would help some people, will make it harder to do business in Oklahoma. companies will close. the question is where else can they go? most other states have a better wage anyway.
