Whitworth educator to officiate U.S. Olympic swimming trials

SPOKANE, Wash. -- An educator at Whitworth University will help determine who will represent the U.S. in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Associate Professor of Education Keith Lambert will officiate at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for swimming in Indianapolis, one of 72 volunteers in the country.

According to Whitworth, Lambert will be a "stroke and turn official" which involves watching the swimmers to ensure they are swimming legally.

Lambert previously swam for Whitworth and formerly coached swimming. He currently officiates local swim meets.
