    Gonzaga Men's Basketball head coach wins gold medal from 2024 Paris Olympics

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga Men's Basketball head coach and assistant USA Men's basketball coach Mark Few won a gold medal from the 2024 Paris Olympics.

    Gonzaga Men's Basketball posted a congratulatory message on its Facebook page Saturday, saying "Add it to the resume" in reference to the Olympic gold win.

    The USA Men's Basketball Team won the gold medal Saturday against France. The final score for that game was 98-87.

    Few served as an assistant coach on the team. He was the only collegiate coach on staff and worked alongside Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra and Clippers Head Coach Tyronn Lue.

    According to the university's website, Few has been working at Gonzaga since 1990. He started as an assistant coach and was officially named the team's head coach in 1999.
