    Drivers should expect closure on Highway 27 near Rockford to last through the weekend

    SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Part of Highway 27 in Spokane County is fully closed and expected to stay that way for the rest of this week.

    According to the Washington Department of Transportation, Highway 27 is closed between Valley Chapel Road and Morris Road near Rockford.

    The closure is so crews can begin emergency work to replace a failed culvert.

    There is currently a detour in place on Jackson Road between Valley Chapel Road and Morris Road.

    The highway closure is expected to last through the weekend.
