Extracurricular activities saved in Moses Lake schools thanks to successful fundraising efforts

MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Enough money has been raised to keep extracurricular activities in all Moses Lake schools this upcoming school year to keep athletics and extracurricular activities.

According to Community Athletics and Activities, the non-profit that has been leading the fundraising efforts, has $540,000 cash in hand to help keep all extracurriculars in all Moses Lake School District schools.

Moses Lake School District reportedly negotiated contracts with coaches for one dollar, which a vast majority have agreed to take.

The CAA said the school district is still getting rid of transportation to and from games and other activities for the year, leaving parents or players responsible for their own transportation.

CAA said it will continue to fundraise. Any additional funds will be put toward coaching stipends and transportation.
