    Evacuations downgraded to level 1 (Get Ready) for fire burning near Oroville

    OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. — All evacuations were downgraded for the Charm Road wildfire burning a few miles south of Oroville, Washington on Monday afternoon.

    As of 6:00 p.m. on August 19, all evacuations have been downgraded to level 1 (Get Ready) for the Charm Road Fire burning near the corner of Woods Road and Bench Road, according to Okanogan County Emergency Management.

    The level 1 evacuations are in place for all those on or south of Eighme Road.

    Fire officials said on Monday evening the fire's forward progression had been stopped and the fire is 85% contained.

    Those in the area of the fire should remain alert.
