AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. -- If you're in the mood for a little "spring" cleaning, there is still time to take advantage of Airway Heights' Free Dump Days.

On August 26, Airway Heights Waste Management customers can take two free trips to Spokane Waste to Energy Facility to throw away unwanted items.

Dump vouchers are required and can be picked up at Airway Heights City Hall on Monday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. City Hall is closed from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. daily.

The Free Dump Day is an easy way to get rid of trash and yard waste while keeping Airway Heights clean.

    Acceptable items include:

Large appliances: Limit the three items such as stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners and water heaters

Other items: Lawnmowers (must drain fuel and oil), small appliances, non-reusable household junk, tires (limit four) and paint (must be solidified)

Items that cannot be dumped include: car waste, mercury-contaminated items or other hazardous waste.
