SPOKANE, Wash. -- Changes are coming next month to some dog parks around Spokane.

Greg Forsyth from Spokane Public Schools said it is getting ready to close the temporary South Hill Dog Park on Friday, October 4.

The new 63rd and Regal Dog Park is planned to open on October 7. The park will be run by Spokane Parks and Recreation and follow normal park hours.

The High Bridge Dog Park will open on October 15. SPS said all three areas of the park will be open. Crews are still working on adding drinking fountains and a smaller shelter in one of the new areas.
