Visit all Washington's state parks for free on World Mental Health Day

If you're looking to get out and enjoy some beautiful fall weather this week, consider visiting one of Washington's state parks!

On Thursday, October 10, all Washington state parks will be free and open to the public in honor of World Mental Health Day.

According to the CDC, spending time in nature and green spaces can reduce stress, promote physical activity and positively impact mental health.

On typical days, a Discover Pass is required to enter the parks and costs $30 a year or $10 for a day pass.

The Discover Pass website states that Washington is home to over 100 state parks, 350 recreation sites, such as campgrounds and picnic areas, 700 water-access points and 2,000 miles of designated water and land trails.

Additional 2024 Washington State Park Free Days:

    Monday, November 11

    Friday, November 29
